carrol chew joins us for an auspicious lunar new year banquet

join us thursday february 8th to bring in the lunar new year with our lucky 8 banquet, featuring guest chef carrol chew.

she'll be serving up lunar new year classics like yee sang and lo bak go - authentic malaysian food to welcome the year of the dragon. expect intermingling influences from malacca and peranakan, blended in servo's wood-fired kitchen... a symphony of flavours coming together for one night only!

in carrol's own words:

'my passion for cooking started from a life long obsession with learning the way my mum cooked - always pairing our classic soy sauce dishes with touches of spice and sambal. i guess, it stemmed from the cross cultures from where mum and dad were from. my mum was born of indian and portugese descent from malacca, and dad from the peranakan heritage (itself an intermarriage of chinese and malay ethnic groups). my singaporean parents and their peers formed a unique group in their food, language, dress and way of life and beliefs.'
